Drøbak is a small town in Oslofjord with some 13 000 inhabitants.

It used to be the winter harbor of Oslo when during harsh winters the fjord would freeze from outside Drøbak all the way up to the capital, but today it’s a very popular tourist spot not just for foreigners but also for Norwegians.

An aquarium with local species of fishes, shellfish and crabs that live in the Oslofjord is situated in the harbor and for a small price of 70 nok per capita, you can admire the strange sea world.

The aquarium is quite small but the specimens are amazing. Don’t get surprised because you will see a lot of strange, beautiful, ugly and unusual fishes.

Browse through the aquarium, take a bunch of photos and stop by a nearby restaurant for some delicious seafood.
